If at the G20 meeting nations do indeed begin work on a 'New World Order', and create 'Global Tax Cuts' to 'help the global economy' my question is what would stop them from creating a 'Global Tax' if we 'really needed to' in order to 'help the global economy'? For example Iceland has gone virtually bankrupt. Will we in the upcoming future require 'Citizens of the World' as Obama called himself in his speech in Berlin to pay a 'Global Tax' to keep afloat bankrupting countries in this 'New World Order'? If you think this is far-fetched its not, because it has basically already happened.

So how does this information align with the end of times in the Bible?
Revelation 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
He has spoken great things about 'Change' and new prosperity for the world, written a book called 'The Audacity of Hope'. Many would say his argument that he is the best pro-life candidate is a blasphemy. 42 months is about the length of a presidential term, but it could refer to the length of a new position developed as part of the 'New World Order'.
Revelation 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
In order to have power over all of the people of the Earth this would likely require a One-World-Government, something we have never seen before. The New World Order is what Gordon Brown proposes, which is a strong movement toward a One-World-Government. Obama talks about a New World Order in his Berlin speech that basically says Global Citizenship is required and not an option. Many people already see Obama as the 'President of the World'. The night it was announced he was president elect there were celebrations around the world in nearly every nation, unlike ever seen before for a U.S. president. Barack Obama was preferred over John Mccain by a majority of 70-90% of the population of virtually every country.
Daniel 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.
Obama has primarily ran on messages of "Hope" and "Change" and Peace (opposing the Iraq War; Nuclear Disarmament - which is always in the name of peace but can actually cause great harm if the Super Powers like the USA do disarm, and a rogue country gets a hold of nuclear weapons)
Not to mention how the world has hailed him as a Messiah.. (A mountain named after him, a National Holiday in the works, Oprah calling him 'The One', Children Singing His Praises, Youth 'Stepping' in Military Fatigues for him, gathering crowds over 100,000 strong, and everything else you can view on this site.) He has been seen by the non-religious as a 'Secular Messiah', and he has been compared to Jesus more and more frequently.
Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
This part of the bible has been discussed in great depth. In order to have the ability to control who buys and sells all over the world this also suggests a One-World-Government like what may result from the New Economic World Order that is being proposed. If we have a 'New World Order' and 'Global Tax Cuts' then a Global Tax is not far away, and has been on the U.N. drawing board for years. The financial crisis has sped things up in the One-World-Government process. Will we see a truly Global Bank with it's own Global Currency? The movement towards the consolidation of European currencies into the Euro was a huge step. The technology to track financial transactions is becoming better and better everyday. We are not far away from being able to have this 'mark' on our hand or head that will control our ability to purchase, we may already have the technology, it will just need the implementation.

This is the part of the Bible where everyone refers the the rise from obscurity to great power. The interpretation comes from the little horn rising up, I already adressed him speaking great things. Did you know who Barack Obama was before 4 years ago? He was an obscure sentator, who began running for president 2 years into his FIRST term. He is one of the most powerful speakers on the planet, and he was able to rise from obscurity with ONE SPEECH, the keynote address at the DNC in 2004 to becoming president in 2009. Will he now rise to an even more powerful position in the New World Order?

From this passage we find there is not "one" Anti-Christ but many. From the coming of an Anti-Christ that is how we will know we are near the end.

Many have seen Obama as a messiah, a 'secular savior', his speeches have been seen as a religous revival, and have been filled with messianic terminology. He is seen much like a prophet, speaking the good truth. This provides him the potential to fulfill the scripture.

Is Obama the Antichrist? I don't know. Do I think he is the Antichrist? Maybe. Do I fear if he is the Antichrist? Absolutely no. I was under great fear at first but when I went back to the scriptures my joy became complete. Whether Obama is the antichrist or not, I believe it is about time the body of christ got ready for the second coming of the son of God. We are soon going home.

The quote regarding it being impossible to 'buy or sell' without the 'number of the beast' has, in actual fact, been true for a long time now.
Every single bar-code uses '666' as a reference point for the computer to be able to pin-point the beginning, middle and end of any given bar code. Pick up something with a bar code on it and you'll see them right there...the three longer, thinner parallel lines at the start, middle and end of any bar code (the numbers of the other line sequences are even given to you so you can verify the truth of this for yourself).
Still though, does it really matter if Obama is or is not the Antichrist? After all, many respected sources suggest that these quotes are extremely applicable to the Roman Empire (double eagle etc) and they are most certainly vague enough and filled with common enough symbols that you can apply the reasoning to any number of different empires and individuals.
Surely the ultimate test of faith is not our forbearance of this world, but our willingness to make an impact upon it, and change the bad around us into good?
This G20 meeting is an opportunity for the leaders of the world to build a better one based on compassion, understanding and the welfare of people, rather than the growth, greed and individual wealth that underpins the system today.

Secondly, so what if he were the antichrist? Obviously, the events of Revelations will be fulfilled at some point. Isn't the coming of a new heaven and a new earth something to celebrate, no matter how harsh the tribulations in between? What did Christ say about worrying (Matthew 6)? Besides that, "The Lord will come like a thief in the night." Isn't that what 1 Thessalonians 5:2 says?
So why judge? Has God given you the authority to be judges of men? "Judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!" (James 2:12-13). Has He made it your business? I'd like to know then what you would have thought of his choice of Saul, who became Paul, as an Apostle (Acts 9). God has chosen people you wouldn't deign to spit on as his prophets and servants. Can you sincerely be so arrogant as to judge God's will in these mattters?
"For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Matthew 7:2) So imagine then if God were to judge you according to the very same standard that you present here.

Is Obama the Antichrist?
In these days many are asking, what does the Bible say about the Antichrist, the Man of Lawlessness, and the Beast. Should we be concerned about any individual currently ascending to power on the world stage? Although my book Final Warning goes into much greater detail about the characteristics of the evil one, let it suffice that all Christians must be aware that one is coming who is beginning to fit this profile.
Beware of the one who comes as a type of messiah promising to save the world from its present crisis by speaking half truths and outrageous lies; one who promises world wide peace by sitting down with your enemies. Beware of the one, who promises universal health care for the whole person (both physical and psychological) with its hidden agenda of leading you to trust in psychology instead of trusting in God exclusively, which is idolatry. Furthermore, this allows the evil one and his established order to control your life. This control is precipitated by electronic record keeping and preventative health requirements that will mandate physical and psychological care if you wish to keep your benefits. Be wary of the one who voted for the bailout bill that gives government more involvement in the private sector and definitive control over millions of home loans. Tucked into this bill is a mental health provision that will ultimately give companies power over their employees by requiring that they get psychological counseling and drugs to improve their productivity. Be very careful of the one who promises to bring change to those living in the midst of fallen Babylon through his own strength and intellect.
Christian don’t be deceived, because Obama easily fits this profile. He is espousing a political rebellion against the so called established order and leading God’s children in open rebellion against Him. He does this by leading the world to put their trust in him or his new world religion to solve all their problems and meet their needs instead of trusting in God alone and His providential care. Obama openly nullifies the law of God by sanctioning same sex relationships and partial birth abortion – deserving the title “Man of Lawlessness.” Christian don’t be dismayed that the Republican party lost the election. Indeed it was easy to be fooled by the Republican Party and the audacity of talk radio claiming to be on the side of Christianity by rejecting homosexual unions and the freedom of choice. Clearly they only courted the Christian vote to further their own evil agenda of excessive greed and lust for power. Stop trusting in Obama or the Republican Party to bring about change. Real change is only possible through the transforming power of the Gospel which brings true healing to the whole man and his community.
If you have not done so already, let me encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Trust God to solve your problems and meet all of your needs. Then join me in spreading the word to flee Vanity Fair before it’s too late. Reach out to your fellow Christian and tell them to stop trusting in Government and the one who has come to lead the world astray. Challenge them to repent of their wickedness and turn back to Jesus Christ as the true Author of change.

You guys should read The World is Flat by Thomas Friedman. Ignoring your political stances, he shows in this book that individual, isolated economies are a thing of the past, with the rise of the Internet and broadband communication, national boundaries are quickly becoming a thing of the past as well. To the author: do you genuinely believe that world leaders want to form a tangible "New World Order?" What does that even mean? Do you know? The quotes you used in your post were clearly meant to represent the shifting need for world leaders to not just focus on their own economic standings, but also the world's, and for better or worse, Obama is the most powerful leader in the world when he comes into office, and the one man who will be able to exert his influence to get us out of recession. Do you guys want to see another Depression in our lifetimes? The only way to avoid that is to make serious headway in the international economic community.

This kind of belief is NOT uncommon among UCC Churches, of which Obama is a member. Many UCC Churches espouse that there are many different ways to reach God.
I find it laughable that people think he's the Antichrist simply because he supposedly said that there are many ways to the same place. To say that the way of the Buddha is lesser than the way of Jesus is ridiculous. The whole point of living is that if you lead a good life you will be rewarded in heaven (if such a place exists and if it is what we think it is.) People who think that following a "correct" religion will get you into heaven are more antichrist than they think. There are many ways to the same place. There is no Son of God, or Chosen Prophet, there are many teachers of the same way. Jesus was a human and his word isn't infallible, but it holds certain truths that are beneficial.
I still don't like Obama, I understand where religious people are coming from when they say "he's the antichrist." His meteroic rise and control of the masses is disturbing. But I can't help but admire him for his ability to do that, however he did it. I think Obama is a nasty piece of work but not many people can see it. He's brilliant, I don't know how he did all this, but I worry about what he'll do.

Buddha did the best he could but did not believe in a supreme being. He had disdain for the very idea of one. He was, in the end, a "blind guide". His followers are lost on the way.
Muhammad lifted parts of Christianity and Judaism and concocted the "holy" Qur'an with them. Whatever is good in Islam came from Christianity and Judaism, but it denies Christ and so leads people to Hell. It is a sly and pernicious counterfeit.
Approach Our Lord with an open mind and pray for light. Ask Him to show you the truth. If you ask in sincerity He will answer you.
The iconography, the management of this man into an image...I've never seen anything like it in my life. A logo created for a campaign (his O logo). And the fact that the mainstream media adopted his iconography, those long, hopefully gazes into the future, the back lighting, the comfortable poses. Compare so many of those images to Soviet propaganda posters.
I'm blown away by the psychology that went into all this...and people bought it hook-line-and-sinker.

First of all, nowhere in the Bible is the Antichrist's age predicted - not even in the Book of Revelation (there is no "s" at the end). Additionally, the word "Muslim" does not appear once throughout the entire Bible. That would be awfully strange since Islam was not founded until the SEVENTH century, while the Bible was completed during the early SECOND!!
Additionally, according to the Bible:
"While the Antichrist may be present on Earth, he will not be revealed until the rapture occurs and there is peace in Israel. (see Ezekiel 38:11) NEITHER OF WHICH HAS HAPPENED!!

I am 28 and never have been brought up with the bible or anything christian like but ive always believed in a higher power and I believe Jesus is our savior. I think Barack Obama could be the one that will bring about the Centre Stage for the Anti Christ. The Person that is the Anti Christ will be alot more powerful and will be so cunning that the whole world will be so willingly be drawn like a bull being pull by the nose ring.

Recently, I had a dream & it goes like this.
In the dream i saw obama & other world leaders, they were all in suits & it was as if they were at a luncheon. Amongst them were 2 priests, they looked like orthodox ministers i.e in their dress sense.
what i found interesting was that these ministers were acting like dummies & it was as if they were being controlled. they kept agreeing with all what obama was saying & at the same time they would stand up & sit down again. so almost as if they were like in a zombified state.
when i awoke, i thanked God for giving me the dream & enabling me to see the truth for what it is.
the dream was so clear & concise.

Just outa thought, the end of the world is predicted to be 2012. Ever think that, that is the year Obama's term is up? and the 42 months goes with this term now? The Bible says that he will appear to rise again from the dead. Once he rises, if I remember correctly, that could symobolize the new beast since the Bible says that he is like the old beast. Come on people, everyone claims for him to be saving not only our country, but the world as other countries celebrated for him to be president and love him for his ideas of PEACE. If he got shot or some incident which could deceive the people as him dying and miraculously coming back to life? The Bible says that he wont even believe he is the antichrist at first, which Obama does not...yet. do you not think that with all his popularity now that he could be considered a Messiah as he is already resolving our countries problems and moving onto the worlds?
I am not saying he definitely is, but seek God if you wana know the truth. This man definitely fits the description MORE than any man ever in history.
